The parachute ejector allows the pilot to throw the parachute away from the trolley simply by pulling on a trigger handle on his belt. The handle is connected to a striker which will pierce a bottle of C0² under pressure, this bottle will degas in a cushion which will take up all the space and the volume of the parachute expelling it at an approximate speed of 10m / s. This system is less expensive than the existing pyrotechnic systems and more compact than the existing pressure ejectors.
It does not prevent the hand deployment which also remains possible, it is simply an additional possibility. The system is powered by a small battery that should be checked regularly. This system is now fitted as an option on our SAMSON trolleys
